WEAN organizes regular and structured activities that engage the Black Youth in London communities, especially young people, girls, and women. Our goal is to raise awareness among them about participating in and understanding social, economic, and civic life in Ontario.
We provide services through our ethnocultural hub and aim to bring together young men and women from our Black Community. Most of our clients come from schools and community connections, including children of refugees and immigrants. These young people have often been born and raised in refugee camps before settling in Canada. Our safe space will provide them with opportunities to thrive and develop. We also strive to empower youth from low-income households by equipping them with the skills to overcome economic barriers from an early age. This project aims to benefit and reach black youth in the London region.
